What is point-of-care testing?
Diagnostic tests performed during your appointment - such as key blood markers, ECG and blood pressure - with results available in minutes rather than days. It means decisions about your heart health can be made in the same visit.
Which results can I get on the day?
Depending on clinical need: cholesterol profile, blood glucose/HbA1c, kidney function and other core markers, alongside a 12-lead ECG and blood pressure assessment. Some specialised laboratory tests still require formal processing and follow within days.
Why does same-day testing matter?
It removes the wait-and-return cycle: risk factors are quantified, discussed and acted on in one sitting, which makes the plan immediate and concrete. It is particularly valuable in a first assessment or a comprehensive heart health check.
