You may become aware of the possibility of having an inherited condition if one of your family members tells you that they have that condition. Typically you will need to undergo tests to see whether this is indeed the case, and those tests often include simple diagnostics such as an ECG, an echocardiogram, which is an ultrasound scan of your heart, and potential heart rhythm monitors.
