I personally recommend that everyone should wear a wearable device. I wear one myself and I use a watch for that. And really the reason I recommend it is it's a great way of tracking your health as an integrative cardiologist.
I'm interested in what your sleep patterns are and these wearable devices give us pretty good data on your quality and quantity of sleep. Additionally on the same device you'll get data about your resting heart rate, your heart rate during exercise, your recovery of your heart rate during exercise as well as your heart rate variability. So if we take all the data that we get from these wearable devices we get a great idea of your cardiovascular fitness and importantly how that has evolved over time.
So as part of my consultation I may suggest an exercise program or a nutrition program and tracking your own wearable, the data from your own wearable device gives us an idea of how that, what impact that's having on your heart health.
