The outlook and prognosis with DCM can vary widely. What we've learned is that with modern therapies, it's a lot better than it used to be. And now that we can actually treat patients with complete recovery of cardiac function, prognosis can be very good.

However, the prognosis will vary widely and very much depends on the response to treatment and the severity of cardiac impairment.
