Hypertension is called a silent killer for a very good reason. That's because pretty much everyone with high blood pressure has no symptoms at all. It's really important we make this diagnosis because we know that for every 20 mmHg your blood pressure is above the target limits, your lifetime risk of stroke or heart attack doubles.
