Transcript

The two numbers in your blood pressure reading correspond to the pressure in the vascular system of your body when the heart is contracting. This is called your systolic blood pressure and is the higher of the two numbers. As well as the diastolic blood pressure, which is the pressure in your vascular system when your heart is relaxed.
