The first cardiology assessment is really our opportunity to have an open discussion about your concerns, your family history, your lifestyle, the pressures you face, the challenges that you'd like to overcome. And then from that, we tailor a bespoke series of tests that will inform us as to what the best way of treating you is. And we also focus on your lifestyle, having an in-depth discussion on what your day involves, what your week involves, how you can potentially reconfigure things.
And part of that is really getting the idea that you need to instill new habits that focus on prioritising sleep, eating well, exercising regularly. And that's something that I've done for my own family, for myself, and it's something I really enjoy working with when I see patients.
